Watatsumi
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Watatsumi is an ancient spirit that inhabits the blade currently wielded by Ryujin Cheon - Watatsumi, The Blade Of Ramping Tides. His relationship with Jin has been strained, but has seemingly come to a shared understanding.
The spirit seems to have experience with many members of the now defunct Cheon Family.
Description
Section titled “Description”The blade originally resembled a cross between a katana and a greatsword - with a large ornate dragon’s head between the blade and the hilt; it’s horns forming the crossguard.
After attuning to Jin’s blood - the weapon changed to match the desires of it’s new wielder; resemebling a large grey greatsword.
The blade changed once more after Ryujin and Watatsumi came to a shared understanding - and the former trained to the point of exhautsion; polishing the blade to a glass-like finish.
Relevance
Section titled “Relevance”During his guard watch with the Cloak Corps - Jin reforged Watatsumi, The Blade Of Ramping Tides from a standard steel sword by combining it with an oddly familiar talisman/emblem. The blade spoke to him and scolded him for lacking knowledge of his heritage.
